Once the above information is received and processed, the Internal Revenue Service and California Secretary of State offices will be contacted to determine your current status. You will be notified of any negative findings. Negatives must be cleared before the agreement is sent to your office. Our agreement is only valid with approved Nonprofit and federal tax-exempt Organizations in good standing. The grantors have the same requirements to qualify for tax-deductible contributions. The California Attorney General's office requires your organization to be registered on the Registry of Charitable Trust and Form CT-1 for initial filers must have a copy of their original Form 1023. The initial registration fee for a registration number is $25.00 and grants requests above $25,000.00 require an additional fee between $25.00 to $300.00. GrantPromoter is a professional fund raising counsel and is prohibited to prepare grant request documentation. Form 1023 copy may be ordered from the IRS, free, form 4608-A. Copy of executed agreement is forwarded to the CA Attorney General during initial 10-day cool-down period.
If your organization utilizes a freelance Grant Writer, have them contact us for fee review. If grant writer's fee is within our limits, we will make a charitable contribution to your organization equal to or greater than the grant writer's fee after the service fee or fundraising fee has been paid to Grant Promoter. This means the grant writer's fees are free to your organization.
